Hello – I'm Cassianne.

I've been a designer, in some way or another, for

over ten years. I've worked for Scholastic Books, Penthouse Magazine, Apple, various local events and volunteer organizations, and currently run a home studio that produces bespoke invitations cards, and other paper craft. My favorite thing to create is event invitations – each one is unique to my client, and in a world ruled by ephemeral experiences, I like being able to give someone a tangible reminder of that important event in their life.

There's a lot I'm inspired by; vintage ephemera like the colors of old stamps or the typography of tickets and coat check slips. Food – especially desserts. And even comics; there's a lot to be admired in the color and hierarchy of a well-thought-out page.

I collect keys. My favorite artist is Hilma af Klimpt. Crochet is a hobby of mine that comes and goes, though I get a little better at it every time I pick it up again. I bake, sometimes a bit too often.

Recently, I've developed a confidence for taking things apart to figure out how they work, and have been successful at a small number of (previously intimidating) home repairs. It's a point of pride, honestly.

And it translates, really, to the work I do when I design for a client. You have to figure out the problem we're trying to solve before we can craft the best solution. It always works.
